Vessel Berthing & Quay Allocation
BCT operates a 506-metre deep-water quay with a draught of 12.5 metres, capable of accommodating the largest vessels operating in the Baltic Sea region. Berth scheduling and quay allocation are managed around the clock by our port operations team to ensure minimal waiting times and maximum throughput efficiency.
Quay Specifications
Our quay infrastructure is purpose-built for high-volume container operations. Key technical parameters include:
- Total quay length: 506 metres
- Operational draught: 12.5 metres
- Simultaneous berths: up to 2 vessels
- Rail-mounted ship-to-shore gantry cranes with outreach of 63 metres
- 24/7 vessel traffic coordination
Berthing Coordination
Berth requests are handled through our port operations centre, which coordinates with vessel agents, shipping lines, and the Freeport of Riga authority. Pre-arrival notifications and ETA updates allow our team to plan equipment deployment and labour allocation in advance, reducing turnaround time.
Mooring Services
BCT works in close cooperation with certified mooring service providers at the Freeport of Riga. All mooring and unmooring operations conform to ISPS and Port State Control requirements. Pilot boarding arrangements are facilitated directly through our operations team.
Request a Berth
Vessel operators and agents can submit pre-arrival notifications and berth requests through our commercial department. We recommend contacting us at least 72 hours prior to the vessel's estimated time of arrival to ensure optimal berth scheduling.
