Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) is a privately-owned container terminal located at the mouth of the river Daugava within the Freeport of Riga. The terminal covers 57 hectares on Kundzinsala island and is the fastest-growing container handling facility in the Baltic States.

BCT handles over 30% of all containerised cargo in the Baltic States, offering a wide range of facilities and services to shipping lines and forwarders. We distinguish ourselves through the quality of our work, high standards, productivity, safety and efficiency.

Our core activities encompass vessel berthing and quay allocation, container loading and discharge, cargo warehousing, container stuffing and stripping, rail and truck transport, container repair, and refrigerated storage.

Strategic Location & Connectivity

Latvia is located on the south-east coast of the Baltic Sea between Estonia and Lithuania. The Port of Riga was chosen as the main entry point for containerised cargo due to its favourable geographic position.

BCT covers 57 hectares on an island at the mouth of the river Daugava with favourable navigation all year round. We have developed integrated logistic chains with direct rail and road connections to major cities across four neighbouring countries and Central Asia.
